Lawrence Lofts was the renovation of an existing 60,000 square foot, 8 story building.  The building was previously home to The Lorali, an SRO use, after originally being constructed as the Viceroy Hotel in 1926.  We performed a complete gut-renovation of the building, converting it into 80 apartments on floors two through eight, while providing four retail spaces on the ground floor, and adding a rooftop deck, while extending one elevator to the roof.  All windows were replaced, including complete recreations of the original 2nd floor ballroom windows, in coordination with Chicago's Landmarks requirements.
